This is Wall·e and Eve based on a scene in the film. In this painting, my goal was to develop my knowledge of colour theory based on coloured lighting. A couple examples are the intensity of the yellow of Wall·e’s “chest” or using pink tones in the metal track that acts as his shoulder.


This is a a scene taken from the video game The Last of Us in which this window is tightly cropped in. Here I wanted to expand the view and I painted further out designing the rest of the window. What I wanted to work on in this image was to focus on intense lighting where bright light and dark shadows cross for striking contrast.


This is a commissioned piece I painted. Based on characters and locations from the video game Bloodborne. The focus here is trying to make a striking composition in a format that is readable and using contrast and detail on focal points in the image.


This is a bleeding statue based in the video game Dark Souls III. Here the coloured lighting stands out and my plan here was to use that to the give the image a sense of 3D depth.


9 is a very small hand crafted robot wrapped in burlap based on the film of the same name. I wanted this image to have depth and atmosphere. I achieved this with smokey light rays coming in through the background and little particles of dust floating in the air just out of focus.


This is an unsettling image showing a little body horror. I started this image by setting up a scene with some coloured lights and using my hand to catch that light. Using that as reference I was able to accurately show these colours and how light interacts with skin.


This a commissioned piece by a local musician called “Aaro” depicting city streets in a time of riot. The image is detailed and busy adding to the feel of chaos. The client outlined this idea to me but showing him early concepts we agreed it was not striking enough. I then added the idea of a distorted wide angle bending the buildings overhead exaggerating the scope of the city which really sold the look and feel he was going for.


Here we have the Fabrication Machine from the film 9. Here I created an intense composition drawing your eye directly into the centre to emphasise the scale of the Fabrication Machine compared to the smaller character trying to escape.


This image shows Isaac Clark from the video game Dead Space. Here I tried to show a hazy smoke filled atmosphere, dark and dense enough to obscure the horror filled background that is engulfing him.


GLaDOS is an robotic AI from the video game Portal. When new she was made of a clinical clean white panels but here she has aged considerably and she is rough a dirty.


This image shows a Big Daddy and Little Sister from the video game Bioshock. He is dirty and grungy. I wanted to use lighting and a foggy effect to really set him in the under detailed background.
